ABC WEDNESDAY - V IS FOR VA VA VROOM!

As you've noticed I've an abundance of "Ramsey Day" images and partcipate in a few nemes. Um? So why not combine the two again and again and again! A couple of weeks ago I used a photo for sky watch called "flying bike." This is the the same motorcyclist, and this is the shot I took before the skywatch one in a frame of three during the trick. As you can see, part of his act was to jump over the compere. All very carefully rehearsed to comedic effect with the motorcyclist pretending to almost plough into the compere on the first attempt. This trick was definitley one for the visiting voyeristic viewers.

Special(ahem) mention to "manx4 manx" or as I prefer to call them "mad manx". Thanks sooooooooo much for your dreary little email. I do hope you enjoyed yesterdays beautiful stunning post!

Like to join ABC Wednesday? Please got to this link, MRS NESBITT'S PLACE
Mrs Nesbitt is the host for ABC Wednesday, where you can find details for joining, her own ABC shot to comment on and a list of fellow bloggers who are playing today, who would also appreciate your comments.

Another great action shot. So, are you saying his velocity is variable?
Oh and I see you snuck some v-words into your post!
ABC looks like fun, and I would volunteer for this very venerable venue, but my vision of V is vague. Maybe I'll try W.
I am obviously a grammatical danger to myself and others, so I will stop now.

Love your title and photo! What's a compare? A compactor/trash truck? I'm glad he wasn't hurt.

Quite the event and worthy of a few posts for sure...

Not sure what the trick is, but if he misses I am sure it will leave a mark.

We had a fudnraiser reward event at school last year where similar tricks were done on bicycles. The girl who sold the most had the privilege of having them jump over her. You should see the look on her face in the photo with the bicycle suspended directly over her.

Ah, I was wondering how you might have incorporated your Ramsey day pictures into the V theme! Great thinking!!

hehehe "Louis" thought you might have another TT shot up your sleeve for ABC Wednesday! You did, and a good one, too!

Over at San Francisco Bay Daily Photo, instead of bike tricks, we have Visions of Hell.

You're very wise to use the same great photo again! I do the same with photos of older posts.

Great action shot. I'm just glad it's not MY son on that bike.
I'm Googling in vain to find the Manx meaning of "compare." Well, I SEE what it is, but can you enlighten us about the word?

Great post title, great action shot and great V choice.

Thank you for having visited mine.

A great action shot; it certainly would need to be well rehearsed!

What a cool shot. I love the title.

Thanks for the visit!
babooshka, can you give me some examples of Viking names?

Anonymous said...

For those who have asked about 'compare' it's the person doing the announcements. If you look at Babooshka's photo there is a bloke lying down who is being jumped over by the bike. He must be the compere.

Aonther flying bike. I would not be able to get one. Two is very impressive. Refering to the litter photo, it is a sad relection on todays society.

Hello all,

It should have read compere, as Sally says the host, but I couldn't edit the post typo this morning and just back now. Couldn't post any links either, blogger seemed to be deleting them or leaving spaces. That's why the post was reposted several times last night. Still not right now, but have to go with it.

Reader wil. I will send you some viking names.

"Louis" thinks those Visions of Hell! may have been done by the Gothic/Tattoo/Piercing crowd he sees hanging out in a skateboard basin fashioned out of concrete waste that had been dumped on Albany Point.

Va-Va-Vroom......so that's what Thiery Henry is doing these days....Cracking action shot again. Just wished now that G and I never moved on from there as it looks like a good show.....Not sure how to send you an email so I'll just ask here.......On the day of the sprint we just popped home to get something to eat meaning to return later in the day however I was called out on the lifeboat to rescue a small boat at the Ayres. When we brought her back into harbour there were numerous people on the breakwater at the same time as the air show. You didn't by any chance get any photos of us towing the boat back in?

You sure do know how to take a good action shot. Great V post :)

La Vache folle checking in again! Wittingly or unwittingly, Chuck Pefley participated in "ABC Wednesday - "V", what with his Vrooming Vespa and Victor Voris!

Last Sunday, the Vachemobile was no match for that swarm of Vespas!

You must have spent some time thinking out that one!

You deserve a star for that.

Great 'V'.. I would not give m4m another mention.. they might just be getting off on the mention. I would just block the e-mails.. and carry on doing great things here. Gearald who dose Hyde daily Blog, dose it completely different from how I would do Hyde... and thats why I enjoy it. He shows it is a roungh around the edges town. He shows a mixture of the good, bad, and down right ugly. I would show if looking like a nice charming market town... ha! that it was once.. Gerald shows it how he sees it, and you should do the same... show it how YOU find it.
