White cat blues

Don't ask me what kitty is doing in the road

It has been such a long time since I've been part of Critters, but as some of you know my blogging days in general have been quiet due to the laptop in a coma holding the images to ransom. Now all is well and I am plundering the older images before I take anymore new to see what I actually want to keep. This is a keeper.

If you look along the bottom of the post this cat which has been nicknamed Duchess( Aristocats obviously) or Arthur (an old UK advert) depending on if you think it is a she or a he will appear again on previous posts. You can also check out white cat myths too on those pages. Not just black cats that have myths written about them you know. Why Arthur/Duchess was sat in a quiet suburban road curbside I don't know. I do know if you turn the photo on to one side it looks like he/she is sat on a ledge. Two images for one. Either way I know A/D is a very photographic kitty kat and I'm sure I'm not done with A/D yet. Whoever owns A/D thank you for letting A/D out and about in Ramsey. Not that you can keep a cat in anyway.

Some time later today you can click here to see more critters around the World. Hello Misty.

RESCUED GOLDFINCH - CRITTERS

Keep your cats away from me!

Critters

When in doubt get the bird shots out!

Not a chaffinch or a siskin on my hand this week, but a goldfinch. That would be a European Goldfinch, or as I prefer to call them our little masked raiders. You should see the way we have a group, or a"charm of goldfinches" as they are called correctly attacking the bird feeders. What about this archive image though?

This is a little male goldfinch I rescued from a very naughty cat. Not one of the critters cats I will no doubt see. He'd got a paw to the little birdie, swatted him like a fly bringing the poor bird to the ground. I just ran at he cat(as you do) to scare him off. A mad woman screeching at him like a howling Banshee in a whilrling dervish soon did the trick. I picked this little bird up as gently as I could and tried to coax him round. Eventually he had a bite of the seeds and kindly posed for this photo, before flying off with no lasting damage. I do think he looks a little grumpy on this image. There again if I had been squatted mid flight bounced on the floor and then been subjected to posing for a photo I think I might look a little p""""d off too.

Another lovely collection of goldfinches can be found at the lovely Wigger's World along with a variety of other cuties.

For more camera critters see Misty dawn's den.

Scheduled post I'm out and about.

Go out the sun is shining!

COOL FOR CATS - ABC

Seeing Double

ABC this week is brought to you by the letter C

Romeo and Juliet as this couple will be known as were so very obliging. Normally there is only one black cat in this drive near the harbour docks but today we have two. Romeo it seems has found a lady friend in the fair Juliet.

cool
cute
cats
coyly
conversing

Of course chatting and concrete are other c words, but how many more do you see. Actually several more, not so obvious and of course many creative subjective ones. Let you ponder that conundrum

The Ramsey Romance of Romeo and Juliet will continue I'm sure while the camera is elsewhere. Wonder if his kittenish charms will works on the fickle female. Who knows. What would you name them? No you can't have Cleocatra!

Remember  or have you heard of these saying?
A cat may look at a king.
Curiosity killed the cat.

The curious can click here to ABC with Mrs nesbitt
