Ramsey Swing Bridge- Golden Wonder - 13/100
I can't believe I haven't had the bridge yet for My World. So here it is the most famous bridge in the world, well my world, Ramsey Swing Bridge. Why is it numbered 13 of 100, because I was challenged to shoot one subject 100 different ways, and the subject just happened to be the bridge. Crazy I know, but the public get what the public wants otherwise I would be in a right jam with some of you out there not pandering to your whims. So the underground cult of Babooshka's Ramsey Swing Bridge contiues.
I actually do love this bridge, but I like bridges anyway. From the mechanics, the design and the purpose. Bridges afterall are connecting places. In this case the very little bridge connects one side of the harbour to the other. Over the bridge takes you to another world, Mooragh Promenande, Mooragh Park, the new swimming pool and the most importantly the beach. It may be bracing, ok blowing a gale, a little wet, ok torrential rain but it's still a beach that most people would like to relax and walk along but don't have and without the bridge above I wouldn't be able to get there. Well actually I could get to the beach, by taking a really, really long walk round the harbour but then I wouldn't be able to photograph such a picturesque bridge would I? That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. It swings by the way to allow ships with sail masts to pass through out to sea. Would you like to see it swung out. You would, click here( red is always a link)
Well still on the borrowed laptop and still on the old photos. I may have to do some night photography as the Christmas tree is up in Ramsey and the lights are on. I have also seen Santa Claus in someones garden but don't tell the kids. He looks like he has had too may mince pies already and I can't see him getting round the world in one night.
For more my entries click MY WORLD and thank the skywatch gang once again for another inspired idea.

Beautiful most famous bridge in your World!!
I´ve said bridges are magic entities.
B, this golden image is quite wonderful. Like how the sun flare works for you instead of against you!

Now, what an interesting challenge! Hmmm. I wonder what I should choose to try taking 100 photos of.
I love bridges and the first shot is so gorgeous! and thank you as always for the extra tidbits that make your posts such fun to read!
That's a wonderful swinging bridge shot, Babooshka. Love the light, and I love your creative ingenuity!
Finally saw the most famous bridge :). That's quite an undertaking photographing a subject 100 different ways. Would you show us all 100 shots?
un très beau contre-jour tout en or.
a very nice very golden backlighting.
Have you been listening to the Jam???
I love this pic, it looked like you charmed the sunbeams into position - magical.

It's important to celebrate bridges because they link and create new points of view. This Meme is a Bridge, just as the Internet is, bridging our thoughts and our concerns and what we want to share with the world. Nice subject and photo.
Happy Holidays.....
I love bridges too and this is an interesting one. I love the gold light in the one on this post and also the link to the swing bridge post to see the bright red.
Great shot, those who say dont shoot into the sun, dont know what they are missing - as long as you are very careful.
Hi Babs
It's easy for Santa to get round the world to all the kids in just one night because it is ALWAYS night at this time of year at his residence at the north pole. He just nips down the meridians and back home for a cuppa before the next trip..clever guy..can't wait for him to visit our house.

But now that you've used that photo here, you can't use it for skywatch!! Beautiful golden sun poking through. Thanks for sharing
So that's how it swings! I wondered how it could swing but I saw it on the other photo. It's beautiful!

Amazing shot of the light melting over the bridge. Thank you for sharing you world with us.
I'm falling in love with the Ramsey Swing Bridge, and looking forward to the next 87.
Great capture as usual.
Hope curcumstances are improving.
Golden Wonder indeed. Perfect capture. Yes it is a long way round when the bridge is open.I noticed the tree up in Parliament Square yesterday and am thinking of going out to get some piccies on Friday night so I might see you there....Yeh Santa has arrived in our road as well.
I think it's great to challenge yourself (well or accept a challenge)to find 100 ways to shoot the same subject. Surely it must teach one to become a better photographer. Might consider a similar project myself just for fun.
Gorgeous Photo! WOW! very pretty!
nice silhoutte-like appearance of the bridge. great job.
Nice photo! This is definitely a unique bridge!
