It's 14/100 Everyone
What is the surprise shot going to be today? Can you guess. I bet you can't(can).
Here we go again! It's time for the obligatory "Cult of Babooshka's Ramsey Swing Bridge" Image.Today we have reached the grand total of 14. The challenge 100 shots
of the same subject at varying angles, times etc. So here you are.
It's taken from the very heart of the bridge(yes they have hearts, minds and souls) the centre of the pathway, underneath the apex of the arc taking in the pathway and the left hand side arch. Taken around noon on a sunny day to create those interweaving shadows. I included a slither of the right hand arch so you can contextualize the width of the pathway. You can see the raised path/sidewalk on the right and the left is the driveway for cars. Small distance isn't it. I went with black and white as the last few have been colour. You also see locals, yes real live people in the distance chatting or perhaps just waiting for me to take the image so not to be any closer to in the frame. Spoilsports. Either way I sneaked them in so ha ha!
I do like to tone things down after skywatch which is click here is that's the one for you.
Thanks for all the techie advice. I had tried word but no it seems it's IE. I've switched to Safari and the line breaks seem to now be in the right place. For now anyway.
So is anyone else photographing the same subject over and over or am I the only nutter?

I really enjoy the bridge photos. It just proves that something that appears to be constant and never-changing can, in fact, be quite varied and "alive". You're on an honourable mission!

In photography class we did this with a teacup. Not so many photographs but the same idea. I didn't understand what the tutor meant at first about interpretation and seeing through an image but I do now. The bridge maybe small but the photograph adds to the proportions. Off to see the other 13.
I really do enjoy your bridge pics. I'm a big architecture buff and am especially fond of the lines and symmetry of bridges. I too find myself taking pictures of the same subject over and over. So, no, you are not the only nutter of the bunch.

Maybe it's the bridge itself or the monochrome but this to me has such a 50's feel to it. Reminds me of my childhood..

The charm of this bridge is on its various angles you have photographed it from ... I like its geometrical lines and sturdy looking structure in this photo.
The 100 challenge? I like the idea. I may do the same for Villa Isola... (which I see almost everyday.) So far, have got 4 photos.

I kind of agree with Angela about the '50's look. It makes me think of a bridge that we used for my Lionel train set village that we set up every Christmas when I was a child. Anxious to see all the other shots when they're ready!!
I really love this 'out of 100' series of Ramsey bridge. it has motivated me to take more than a few pictures of the same subject too. I'm looking forward to see all 100.

This has got to be my favorite bridge photo, ever. I adore it, really, because for me it depicts a space of safety and comfort, with the encompassing struts and the roadway. I think black and white is perfect for this image, too. It adds to the comfort for me. Thank you so much for posting this photo.

I like the cascading structure on this image and slightly curved road.

Well, yes, er, no. I have revisited a few spots and taken multiple images of the same subject. Just not to the extent of 100 photos.
But this has me thinking maybe I should. Photography is art. Art is in the composition. And this would be an interesting artsy thing to do. And isn't this why we enjoy photography? We compose our shots for the artisan in each of us?
