........in summer
Taken during the street repairs and regeneration of Parliament Street, what appears to be Christmas lights zig zagging across the night sky. However this is the height of summer. Unique urban street lighting, or someone forgot to take them down. Fortunately the street repairs have at least been completed.

Who pays the bill?
Hahaha!
true, whoever pays the bill dosen't mind carrying on the festivities for an extra week.
Many people here keep the Christmas lights and decorations for about 10 days.
An expensive bill. 10 days, but a whole year! The joys of a small town
The night sky is definitely more interesting with the decorated lights. Summer is hitting southern hemisphere with bushfire in down under.
Having had seen many a street here ripped up and overhauled, I can say it's a relief when the work is finally finished.
Some people here north of Toronto will keep their lights up through most of January, I think because our winter nights are so long and dark. (Yours must be longer and darker!) But I don't recall any holiday lights up during the summer months.
