A little stock image from the archives( otherwise known as my bag of tricks for emergency measures.) I'm not inside the building but outside looking up towards the light of the foghorn. Yes foghorn. I did say foghorn, which is situated further North than Ramsey. One for all you peeling paint and faded beauty lovers. The same image in colour is vastly different. I mean it's got bright yellow walls and lime green metalwork. In fact I'll show you sometime.

I love hardly anything more than ducking into an abandoned dwelling or factory to see what's inside. Best shots are often found here.

Babooshka, I'm admiring the photo as I strive to understand the photo--you're outside the building? Very interesting, to say the least. But that's what I've come to expect here. Thanks for each and every one.
That photo reminds me of Alcatraz, a derelict prison in San Francisco Bay.

unusual perspective
It would seem very threatening (to me anyway) without the bright sunlight coming through the window. Lovely composition.
Amazing how old peeling paint on ceilings and walls seems to create a unique and fascianting piece of art! Weird textures and patterns emerge naturally!
At first, I too thought I was looking at an upper guard walking area in a prison! But maybe not!
Black and white looks great in that room. It looks eerie.

Butr in fact, they're so nice in the Isle of Man, that he invited you to visit the prison, as a guest. So kind of him.
In fact, we get here, all the atmosphere. But in fact, Prisons, I imagine, never been invited, are far more cosy.

I had to go check out your first foghorn post. That photo is so wee I couldn't see a lot of detail and I remain confused about the perspective here. Perhaps that is your intent, sneaky Babs!

I'd be very interested in seeing this in yellow and lie green. I'm having trouble imagining it. LOL They should have painted it black, grey and white. It actually looks good that way! ;-)
Definitely a B&W image given the colours you say it is. I would be distrated from those lovely water drops if I had to look at lime green and yellow
