Seeing Double
ABC this week is brought to you by the letter C
Romeo and Juliet as this couple will be known as were so very obliging. Normally there is only one black cat in this drive near the harbour docks but today we have two. Romeo it seems has found a lady friend in the fair Juliet.
cool
cute
cats
coyly
conversing
Of course chatting and concrete are other c words, but how many more do you see. Actually several more, not so obvious and of course many creative subjective ones. Let you ponder that conundrum
The Ramsey Romance of Romeo and Juliet will continue I'm sure while the camera is elsewhere. Wonder if his kittenish charms will works on the fickle female. Who knows. What would you name them? No you can't have Cleocatra!
Remember or have you heard of these saying?
A cat may look at a king.
Curiosity killed the cat.

Brilliant photo! I'm trying to think up a cat pun. I'll be back...
Your photo reminds me of a Norwegian childrensong - about two cats who are climbing up and down from a table ;)
Seeing double - yes. When we are angry, we are talking about seeing red - like the bull ;)
I did cats too but mine are not so cool.
Another great picture! Really interesting. Love the red gate too. Can't think of any other C's, I've been partying all night because of 'follower' no. 20, so the mind isn't working anymore (not that it ever did).
Thanks for commenting on the 4 old ladies in an Impala, LOL
The red gate makes the photo quite appealing
An Arkie's Musings
a different cat. but cute.
A real COOL picture!
I have only one C for you today regarding this image, Baboosh - Classy!
Very nice and I like the commentary along with the cats. The splash of color is great.
Where is Romeo's mandolin???
Those cats are the perfect color for the scene!
That red gate is very beautiful against the grey wall. And the cats are adorable.
They look quite statuesque.
Great photo.
Lovely capture! aloha & Meow
This was a clear and clean shot, i love both the cats and the colors (or lack of colors). Beautiful. =o)
Kit and Kat
I love the balance of this photograph and the splash of red is masterful! Did you get out there with a pot of red paint and then wait for the cats?
I can't help it - I like cat pictures better than sports pictures. This is a really cool one.
Amazing! What are the chances of seeing two black cats (one up, one down), a red gate to climb on and tall cement walls. It HAS to be Romeo and Juliet! ;-)
Mmm... well I see some cracked concrete cradling a crimson c...uh... cr....erm... crikey, what is that thing?
That's quite a photo. Well done. And I've never heard of the first cat quote. I'll have to look that one up.
Outstanding photo! Outstanding...
Yes that is certainly a new version of Act 2 Sc 2 The Balcony Scene!!
Really nice photo, I love the red and white.
PS I would name them Cat-herine and Pet-ruchio in "The Taming of the Mew"...groan!!
Babs you are tapped. I do believe you might be a celeb. I have noted lots of refs. to film and music. Fess up. Who are you really and do you really live on an island. Even the name sounds made up. Chutzpah is my C.
Ah, just the image to make this crazy cat lady happy.
GG...very witty..I love a good sense of humor and I take mine dry please..
Cleverly creative capture of a couple of cats!
fantastic picture, perfectly composed.
All I could see was that fab red gate. You big copycat-HA HA HA
V
Clever. Cool. Creative. Clearly crafty. Concrete. Cosmic.
What would I call it?
A cat attack waiting to happen.
That's a great shot. I like your composition a lot- the positions of the cats, the grey expanse and of course the red gate work together beautifully.
Thanks for stopping by my Skywatch post last Friday! :)
stunning!
Love your post!Belated birthday greeting to you!
Cool cats congregating close to crimson ...
Love the red, and of course, the cats.
belle composition, avec un beau contrame dans les couleurs.
Love this shot, the whole thing just works so well, im managing to get some blogging done while i wait for the clouds to lift.
And the honeymoon will be spent in Catmandu?
great composition
A cool post,
a clever composition,
a cute cat !
Sorry: TWO cute cats, and beautiful choice of colours .
Purrfect picture!
Brilliant and perfect timing!!
Love 'Cleocatra!' :D
Beautiful shot with that bright red gate and the black cats.
Cruising cats captured in the corner..
Babooshka, Thank you so much for kind comment before we head to Japan. We have been back safely and we will slowly wake up to the daily photo business. I have managed few day off to wondering where I spend lots of time in my childhood so It was some positive side in the trip. I managed few photo's to show off that will be running in my other blog. Thanks again for your word. It gave a strength to deal with a difficult time.
I've been trying to think of a pun that hasn't already been done but, you know, Romeo and Juliet has stuck in my head so that's what they'll have to be.
What did you bribe them with?
Crazy blogger taking their captivating picture:)
Lovely colour!
Cool Cats... but a 'Red Hot' picture... I love this.... I also thought your Path and Passageways was a stunner...
Tom
Wiggers World
Great timing to get the shot, almost purrrfect.
COOL cats my friend!
Great photo. / Tyra
I love the composition of this photo! I always wanted to name two of my cats Hamlet and Ophelia, but thought be a little too depressing for them:)
I've always liked this composition. The vivid red against the drab grey. Not sure I've come across this place before though.
I love cats. So cool!
Mannanan- It's just off the docks near the Harbour Bistro. In fact it's near the Boathouse for the lifeboats. Always one black cat lurking there.
V- Knew you'd note the red gate. Eerie likeness isn't it.
Cheers all.
love the 2 cats!
Hi Babooska,
I agree with Neva, love the cats! ...and in the side of your blog are COMMERCIALS , do you know that?
JoAnn /Holland
What a charming composition! Love the colors, too! (That's two more c's!)
I love that gate Babooshka - you can't show it too often for me! And of course there are two black cats. White would be no good, and one isn't quite enough for proper posing. 2 black cats + 1 red gate = perfection!
Such a cute picture!
A good choice and an interesting photo.
Romeo and Juliet make an interesting couple. I like the red gate between them, making for a great composition.
all I can come up with is cataclysm. or catechism. or caffeine, of which I've had waaaay too much today. nothing to do with cats, sorry.
cool photo, love the red.
Interesting composition ... did you also shoot a tighter vertical of the red gate and two catastrophes?
Chuck- I have captured a close up portrait cat and gate straight on. I could photograph here gate. wall gate everyday- and I'm a dog lover.
Nice composition, and those cats sure know how to pose!
Touch not the cat (when it is) without a glove.
The glove of the wildcat is the soft, under part of his paw, and when assuming a war-like attitude, the paw is spread or ungloved revealing very dangerous claws. The motto is a warning to those who would be so imprudent as to engage in battle when the claw of the wildcat is ungloved.

Babooshka - I love this photo. It's so artsy - you are one heckuva photographer!
Incidentally, a current art exhibit in Stockholm includes a fifteen minute video where a bunch of rats are playing Hamlet. So if these are Romeo and his gal I'm sure they wouldn't mind becoming actively involved in the castle at Elsinore. The rats might feel differently.
Claude and Clementine.
Clever post! A conundrum indeed.
Thanks for sharing with us. . .
Happy Wednesday!
Juliet was of the Capulet family. Is this one called Juliet Catulet?
I hope they are friends - cat fights are no fun!
Cute kitties:)
This is a lovely photo!! At first, I thought you had done something to it, to have most of the photo in black and white, and then the startling red gate, but then I saw the plants in the corner, and realized it was simply a subdued colouration. I really do like the way the two cats are looking at each other.
:)
Reminds me of the scene from the matrix with the cat. Perhaps you photographed a glitch in the matrix!
juxtapositioning the real cats the their icon in THAT color combination make a beautiful and artsy photograph. Only a pro like you can see it. Bravo with this one.
Magnificent picture -composition, colours, atmosphere, everything is amazing! Cheers!
