Artsy Image Alert!
Monochrome Oddshots
Subject- The White Bridge

Blog - Ramsey Daily Photo(no other blog or feed site)
You have seen the White Bridge before but not like this. For those who seem to have a problem with the concept of what is odd try using your imagination. Unless you usually look at the world at an angle then this image is odd. I always say the photographer thinks the image not the camera which is why you can have he most expensive camera in the world but if can't compose an image forget it. Brutal but that's how it is. This is my original creative image.

Love the angle of this photo. Very arty indeed!
Very nice shot. I would not call it artsy, just artistic!

Sorry for posting my comment twice...
I can see you are annoyed. I understand why.
Lisa
I've got a crick in my neck.
I agree -- you should use 'artistic' instead of 'artsy'.
Wicked... !
Trouble is I have a migraine aura on me - so I'll just creep away reeling.
I like the artsy image, no alert needed! Its a really funky photo :)
Great viewpoint, I agree with the others it is artistic.
Babooshka, are you certain this photo wasn't made after excess tippling one recent evening? Looks as if the artist might have been slightly unsteady :)
Nicely done, by the way. I try tilted horizons and more often than not toss them in the trash.
I have also tried tilted horizons and they looked awful. Kudos to you!
Chuck and Boise-I think I see the world askew anyway so for me these images are so simple to do. I see them even before I take them. I have so many like this that I have avoided posting as too arsty , but maybe I'll upload some more.
Cheers all.
That is such an interesting shot. I like the angle it's shot at and I think it works particularly well in mono.
I always like to try and take photos from an angle that isn't the obvious one. Love the tilted bridge!
Hey Babs. Only you could've taken this. Sorry to see problems still.
I love it! Sorry you're having trouble with theives. Have your new computer yet?
Too clever for me. I see the world head on. Brilliant but not for me it's too abstract. Your sunsets I really like best.
Our friends say artistic so do I.
Have a nice day.
I was expecting the swing bridge. Up is relative to where we are on this planet, so why not see the world as someone down 30 degrees of latitude would. Nice phot at any angle!
The angle is definitely dynamic! And I like the perspective.
Thanks for the note on film, B. The w/b is also informative.
I think I'm feeling a little seasick! :)
Nice shot.
Whew! Vertigo time, nicely done.
Thanks for stopping by to look at the sunrise photos at Portland Oregon Daily Photo. I'm glad you liked the color--all of them are straight out of the camera
When you do it it's artsy fartsy. When I do it everybody comments that something's wrong and I need to straighten the damn thing up. I'm a B. wanna be.

I am sorry that you are having problems. There are always people around who ruin things..from the simple from cutting you off on the highway to bashing your mailbox off the post...I just told you about my day..whoops.....Michelle..
This photo is so sharp it makes me dizzy. Love it.
this is a super image! loved it!
What's at an angle? Looks just great to me.
It is so very interesting like this. I also think the tilted converging lines of the bridge railing, with the white on top, pointing toward white clouds, makes it a marvellous image.
Truely fantastic black and white photograph. I like the mood coming out of the scene
j'aime bien l'angle de ta photo, on a l'impression de monter une moto en plein tournant.
I like the angle of your photo it looks to mount a motorcycle in the middle turn.
The photograph is amazing and visiting your blog is a lesson in photography.
I hope to get your praise for my composition one of these days.
Thanks for the encouragement you gave through your visits and comments over the past year. Hope you continue to teach me throughout 2009 as well.
A very happy 2009!
Just beautiful angle....
A lot of red in this post! Fortunately also something in white! :-)
I cannot agree more!!
It certainly is unique! I wonder is it me, or does this bridge look longer this way? How long is the bridge actually?
i like it but like wayne it does my neck in so can't look at it for long
Another great shot, you should do more like this
Tilt! I like this.
Babooshka, yoy have absolutely the eye of the photographer. I understand perfectly what you meant.
Fantastic angle, and I can stay watching it for long without problems. B&W is perfect for these lines. I love it!
This photo makes me dizzy! :-) Well done, Babooshka!
I would have cropped it slightly on the left side (or moved the camera to the right if you don't crop) - but then I'm not an artist.
Neither do I steel other people's work, so keep it up!
B7W enhances the architecture of the bridge..nicely odd!
I prefer these last two days images of the swan and the bridge to sunsets. They teach us more about photography that you do professionally.I am hopeless at this kind of photos.
Actually I meant B&W..
I like the way the back of the person bending over is the straight line in the picture. I cannot fathom why anyone would steal work and claim it as their own. In case I ever become good enough that someone may want my work, how have you discovered the theifing sods?
I like your artsy image alert! Great shot, I love the white puffy clouds in the background.
So true about the photographer thinking the image. I can't tell you how many times people have complimented my photos by telling me what a great camera I have. LOL!
In the end I take it as a compliment nonetheless.
You certainly picked the right angle! An absolute sense of trying to steady oneself... well done!
Odd is beautiful, in this picture anyway.
Strange photo. The person on the bridge looks like they are being tilted into the river. Perfect.
Love the photo! Turning an expectation on its ear now and then is a good thing.
a cool angle for this photo
Nice POV and angle, I like artsy shots! :-D
I love this angle ..
The unusual angle is perfect! And the barely visible person on the bridge adds an element of surprise. Well done!
Sorry you are having trouble with thieves!
This is a great photo - you may have noticed I occasionally have a penchant for funny angles, I just think it works really well very often.
And a big grrrrr to the photo thieves (that'll show 'em).
My photo's tilt like that often times, never by choice though. I swear I have one leg shorter than the other.
I keep picturing the person at the end falling off. I like it.
That's a great combination shot, and the bridge seems to go on forever!
Love the titled angle for the sides will hold me in. Lovely. Great clouds too.
Cool! I like this one.
By that measure I have a lot of artistic shots.
I've never tried my hand at these angular shots. It is all about the composition, and sometimes I struggle with that. But I do enjoy your artsy example.
On a side note, I'm not sure what these backlinks do or how they work. I never took time to figure it out.
