I know I said I was back into this blogging lark, but the real world just keeps dragging me back kicking and screaming from the virtual one. Well a promise is a promise and I have been nagged so much by some nameless individuals out there in virtual world and some real life flesh and blood ones here and away to get snapping with the camera again, advice about photography and carry on ranting and raving about my love hate relationship with Dear Old Ramsey Town.
I'm just starting over again blog wise and this is my first Monochrome weekly too for a while. Sure next week I will have hit my stride and be bursting a blood vessel again. Word of warning to spammers though. Don't even think about clogging up my comments. You will just out cut off in your prime and deleted straight into the virtual litter bin.

It does look like sugar. I spotted the mythical beings on the footpath too or maybe regular people but I like to think of your land brimming with the mythical. Beautiful reflection also.
I'm frustrated by spammers lately so I understood your mentioning that. I've never had the options on to prevent spamming because I delete any spamming comments. However, both of my blogs have quadrupled the amount of spam and I'm tired of going back in and deleting them. Frustrating. I'd rather not have to deal with approving comments and I often can't read the anti spy codes so I've tried to avoid making people type that in but I'm about to give up. I don't understand what spammers think they get out of spamming blogs.
It's about time you blogged again! A beauty
Beautiful. Good that you don't resist the pull to reality. :-)
Reality bites is right. Hopefully back in my stride, and will be branching a little further afield that Ramsey now and again. Hunting fairies of course.
Nice to see you back on-line again! And even with snow :-) I hope you keep it for a while so that we can get for pictures like this,
Good luck with the spammers, but I guess you professional photographers are more exposed than we "commoners"
are.
PS Thank you for the comment!
ee lass is that all the snow you got - we got the real thick stuff but it has gone now back to the grey wetness - nice when it is still white - I've got one spammer that tries to post something in japanese every day on an old Old Hyde post - I've got moderation set on older posts and a captcha but he still keeps coming - hope he gets fed up soon.
Great composed shot. Fine gray tones and light.
Gerald. We did get a lovely covering of snow which I am going to showing probably through spring on the blog. Narnia has nothing on us, just for that day. I'm all moderated up with the blocks on the spammers. Just the odd one gets through which I duly dump asap. RuneE. The snow can't compete with the beauty of Norway but it did make the island feel a little more Viking like.
glad to have you back - i love your writing just as much as your pics
Welcome back and belated New Year good wishes.
We all need a little sweet treat from time to time -:)
I hope you have more snow photos like the Narnia one. Mine are all blurry. How do you get a non blurry of the river all the time?
I agree with M. Kiwi, I've missed your writing.
I like your shots, too and this is great. The path and wee folk invite us into the picture.
I'm glad you framed your photo to include the path. Makes it much stronger. I like the way the composition leads the eye.
Nice post.
Welcome to the blogsfera.
Happy New Year.
Queen B. Welcome back. I come for the photography and go away chuckling at your words.
So great to see you coming up for air here, Ms. B. This is such a delicate beauty of a shot. Enlarged, it draws the viewer in so deep we can feel the cool air on our cheeks and smell Ramsey in its snow dusting.
The dusting really adds the magic to this or faerie dust if you will and puts this over the top for me. Nice to see you blogging again ;)
i like the tranquility of the scene. b/w is perfect the peaceful mood of this picture.
Oh, that is so pretty. So quiet and peaceful and not bone chilling as a lot of snow pictures tend to be, beautiful as they are.
SHE"S BACK!!! Oh lordy. I"ve got the SIN BIN awaitin for you B. Let 'er rip!

Great photo. I always knew that the quiet twin was the most artistic :)

snow on Isle of Mann?! Who'd have thunk it. Interesting to see the native types frolic on the snowy path.
It sure looks like icing sugar on those trees. I like the reflections.
