Not virgin territory but mine

A river runs through it

Yes cryptic titles and cloak and dagger shenanigans greet you here for this weeks peek at the sky. It's not the Atlantic of course, just the little biddy Sulby river meandering gently. All we be revealed soon, but not just yet. Before I wade in headlong into unknown waters, or shall we say Virgin territory like the uncharted waters and previously not captured angle above. I need to be as clear and calm as this image. You know a bit of(shall we throw in some annoying corporate speak) blue sky thinking, and bottom fishing for those thinking outside the box. Now if we just add water, get our ducks in a row, behind the curve we may be able to float that balloon and land that plane on the right track.

Relax and wander up the little path on the right into the nature reserve or into town. Up to you which way you go. For me the only way is up, up and away in well possibly a beautiful balloon would be nice, but that is maybe verging on the ridiculous along the still waters of the river. No planes, trains and automobiles for me just plain sailing upstream on a sailboat or maybe a yacht would be nice, destination my own private island at the peak of this image. Now that would be real Virgin territory and not at all original, erm unlike this photo shall we say.

Check out this link here about the blog. It's totally mad and it's not me.

A colourful scene - a pleasure to watch. Peace and calm.

PS Dare I venture a guess at a polarization filter?

Mmmmm makes me want to float down this one! Gorgeous shot! Read a lot of mystery in this post! I'm tuned in! Have a great weekend, Babooshka!

I just love the reflections and the twisted feeling in this shot.
It is moody and calming at the same time..

Wonderful shot!

Wat'sup B? Calm like the river.

Alright... I'm totally -- and I mean that in every sense -- confused. The video? Ummm. All I can say is... well... WTF?

But congratulations on what is quite possibly a record for cliche density in your opening paragraph. I'm impressed.

Oh, and a kick butt photo too -- as always.

Ok, you got us all hooked on your hook, you just need to reel us into your intriguing web. Oh, I'm curious. I'll just have to be patient.

I just checked out Facebook and the link. I am telling you this as your friend, be careful. You are 100% in the right but think about who you are taking on this time. I understand why you are spitting feathers, but you are one person against a huge organization. You can't win them all and you could end up in a nasty stand off. Maybe let this one go and concentrate on the small fry. We all know you are right but you know that doesn't always mean you will win. Please be careful.

Beautiful soothing waters! A dreamy landscape! But often, as the cliche warns, still u nknown waters run deep with hidden, treacherous snags!

Jane Hards Photography said...

Stephen- I know you are right, but you no me and I can't let it go. They either pull the image or pay me. It's theft and I don't care how big a company they are. I will be careful though.

This looks like somewhere I'd like to be. Beautiful photograph. I think a kayak and a light pack and heading into the unknown would be what I'd like to do. Especially if I could pull up on the bank, jump on a hot air balloon for a while then back down to my kayak which miraculously landed where the balloon came down.

Stephen said...

Tread very carefully if you intend to do what I think you will do. I will speak to a lawyer friend and see how the ground lies and let you know.

PS. Whoever made that video is a real basket case! Did she even pronounce triskelion correctly? Somebody should really confiscate her webcam!

I walk my dog down this here most days. Ramsey town is ugly in the centre but we do have some pretty open spaces. Should have seen this when it was a landfill sight.
