Everybody wants to be a cat
The friendly white cat is back. Until I know he or she's name I will refer to it as Duchess. Surely a starlet in the making. Can't you just picture Duchess with diamond choker.
I wonder if anyone has found anymore updates on white cat mythology?I found a little more here below

A white cat is often considered an angel, say hell0 and they will watch over you.
Unlike the black cat myths, the white cat has little attached to it inmythology. In some versions of the tale of Rapunzel she had 3 white cats to help her spin her hair into a golden ladder for her lover. Unlike the Manx cat and the black cat, the white cat seems to be relatively myth free. Perhaps you know of a white cat myth of superstition in your part of the world?

Don't know any myths and legends about white cats. Do know they have blue or green eyes. Sometimes one of each! This one is a real cutey. Yours?

Oh my goodness she looks just like our cat Lilo! Only Lilo's a little bit chubbier ;) I certainly hope the statement about white doors/ill health isn't true, since all of the doors in our house are white and we have a white cat!

In my eyes, this white cat is nothing short of good luck. I had a black cat when I was a kid, and he had quite the grounding effect on me. I think we need differing colours at differnent times in our lives. Every colour under the rainbow can tell an interesting story.
I am partial to black cats. White cats seem dumb in comparison. Interesting photo, very animated. Do you have any black cat photos? Black cats are very intelligent.

Cats are the most adorable animal subjects in photography, IMO. You'd think they know how to pose, and that's what my photography teacher told me.
Back in the Philippines, were strays are a common sight I have lots of them. Now, I only get the chance to photograph a cat from hubby's aunt's place...

What a beautiful cat. The myths about whte cats are interesting. I racked my brain and I couldn't think of a single one. I just know that they are often deaf, a genetic defect.
Almost all of those reminds me of those sayings about black cats.

Wow ! so many tales about my white Arthur ! I can tell you he makes us laugh and the whole neighborhood too. I say good morning to him every morning but sometimes the day is not so good !
White cats with blue eyes are deaf to 99 %. If they have one blue and one yelllow eye it's OK. My Arthur has good yellow eyes and when I open a can he hears it over miles, lol !

There seems to be a variety of myths and some conflicting. It was ever thus. Love the cat.

She proved to be a girl, who changed into a white cat at night, who attacked the narrator of the book.The number of the book isISBN86005 072 6. The story is set in Conway Castle.

Our Rosie has a sort of Juliet Cap of gray fur ... and is not deaf .. this kit reminds me of mine!
