Isle of Man TT - My job is photographing events like this.
I am a photographer I sell my images freelance. This year images were sold privately, public, motorbike magazines and for print on strange items for mugs to T.shirts. Who knows you may have my image without even realising it in magazine you picked up at the airport in say Brazil. What though is the TT.
This is very important part of My World. It is our biggest tourist attraction and my biggest chance to photograph a World Event, over 1000 images in two weeks. My busiest and most profitable time. That's a great shot and no I wouldn't have the nerve to do that on a motorcycle. Still looks like fun. Interesting learning about your world and photography.

Great shot! I don't think that anyone can get me onto a motorcycle and the only way I would look like that is in the second before falling over ;)
We don't have this event in Kuching(my town)but we have cup prix small 100cc event (once a year).

NO. I would not "ride" like that. No Way! But I'd happily photograph the event :) Glad to hear you've already lined up assignment for this year's event.

A very special event that requires a very skilled photographer. I am very aware of both. Sports photography is not my thing but I am in awe of those that do it. As an aside, during the New Years day parade I learned of a the Ace Cafe. Do you know of it and its members?

Actions shots can be tricky but you've done well with this one. It's a real talent to see what will sell and then bringing it into being with the camera.
It looks impossible...that's why it's a great shot. Makes me think about the physics of it all.

Being a pro photographer is no picnic. Our son is one too. Your income seems to be as variable as ours from farming. we're lucky if we brake evens!

I have a friend who also does this for a living (he rides the bikes) and he has some fantastic photographs.
Would I do that? You mean take the picture? I sure as heck would try. Ride the bike? That may take some doing.

well, I came here to see ABC but this got my attention!
Who is it?
My brain recalls my only experience of this event, about Sept 47, big race, not sure which but there were over one hundred riders, 95% Nortons.
The first five were Nortons and the sixth a Moto Guzzi.
Ist, Briggs on 44.
Second, Parkinson on 38.
Third, Moule on 52.
Time trials gave the seemingly naval tradition of HMS a totally different meaning.
I'm a little envious in that you have the ability/talent to match your desire. I would love to make a living out of doing what I like most..(but there simply aren't that many openings for champagne tasters :)) )
