LOOKING UP TO THE NORTH BARRULE- SKYWATCH

It's Friday it must be skywatch. I must be showing you a photo of my favourite place in Ramsey . The Poyll Nature Reserve, along the side of the Sulby River. A wider view though today. Same reflections and fluffy clouds but can you see the North Barrule in the distance, on the right hand side. What is a that though?

North Barrule which overlooks Ramsey. You can actually walk up there if you're feeling energetic.

This image is an archive, Sept. The river has sunken a little but it's still too muddy to actually walk down there without getting your boots sucked onto the mud. I'm pressed for time tonight due to my parnter's busy deadlines, so had to post an image that had been pre scheduled with all the info written.

Of course you can always look around for all the other beauties of the skies.

Oooh! I would love to spend a day or two exploring that nature reserve! Maybe I should come across the water from my home in Cumbria (I can see I.o.M. on a clear day).

Great sky image,
and I agree with Maalie:
Wished I were there! :)

"Now wash your hands of all responsibility!" really made me laugh out loud! (Galgenhumor, gallows humour, really!)

Such a fantastic view. Lovely photography.
Thanks for the session on the rule of three. I am working on it.
Cartoons
1) Great, made me laugh still am.
2 and 3) not so funny.
7) Sharp and to the point, good.
12) Very good.

The first cartoon was my favourite (the "now wash your hands of all responsibility" especially). No.9 was the other one I liked. Hope that helps :)

It does look like a painting and if I were there, it would certainly be one of my favorite places. Just gorgeous! Thank you!

North Barrule? Surely not - you've cleverly patched in a shot of Black Combe!

Are they buy chance related? I think we should be told.

Beautiful picture as ever, anyway.

naturglede/Randi Lind said...

That was a greate photo!

Jane Hards Photography said...

Enitharmon.- It was your shot of Black Combe that reminded me to show the Barrule. They do look like twins

Folks I urge you to take a look at the "Black Coombe" link- see what you think it is spooky.

Gorgeous shot. I love how you captured the sky so well and also its reflection. As always a very interesting post too. I enjoyed all of the cartoons so I fear I'm not much help. I think any of them would be good submissions so my input isn't very useful.

What a gorgeous setting Baboosh.

On the cartoons I find number one a bit serious but very applicable, especially the sink, number 7 funny especially Angela, and number 8 quite representative of repub sentiment on this mess.

Jim said...

Very nice, Babbs. It just can't get much prettier than this.
I did go the BBC page about Gary. I went to his YouTube, things are great there, every scene.
Question, is Brown ever in good graces over there?

Happy SkyWatching, thank you for peeking at my signs. The "W" is for Whataburger, a fast food chain here in the South U.S. that I like.
We skipped your Macdonald's but did get a pizza and Coca Cola Lite at the 'Texas Chicken, Pizza & Kebab House.' The pizza was really good.

I didn´t "get" many of those UK-centric jokes, but the one that was the funniest for me was republican party as a baby, who destroys the world economy- tower.
