The October theme days is lines. and many cdp bloggers will be joining in. No doubt we will all interpret the genre in different ways, some lateral some abstract. It is also ABC Wednesday so again I have combined the two themes.This is part of The Laxey Wheel, in Laxey of course, not Ramsey, which I have covered in previous posts, is the largest working water wheel in the world, built in 1854. This part of the wheel features many shapes, textures and interjecting rods of metal and wood creating for me several varied layered lines.
Two Manx words for you.
Keekal - means peeping
Kibbinagh - means spiked
The lines I thought were both spiked and peeping out from behind each layer. Many words begin with K in the Manx Language, but these suited the lines theme best.

That's a great interpretation for the theme, lines. Although I'm not participating, I'll be interested in seeing some of these. I like the theme.
Here, in Australia, I have a great friend (unfortunately now not able to communicate) whose grandfather helped to build the Laxey Wheel! When we were over in th IOW we visited it. Unfortunately it was shut at the time but I was able to give my friend a photo of it.

Interesting lines, pretty interesting water wheel. I also notice there are minimal colors here which creates a dynamic image.
The many layers of this image are wonderful ... very deep. I particularly like that you show the motion of the red wheel without feeling compelled to show the wheel in its entirety. Nicely done!
I liked the contrast with the red and the B&W.

I was late for the theme day and only used my phone camera lol. Anyway, this interpretation is a little tough nd scary for me! Though a waterwheel it looks like a prison to me or more like a place where the types of movies like Hellboy, Constantine will be filmed!
