This image will not be to everyone's taste, but I know some of you out there will get a kick out of it, the arty sport shot. A combined theme shot again. Obviously it's black and white, so that covers the monochrome and hopefully the odd part of the shot speaks for itself. Needless to say this is personally one of my favourite images to date I've posted.
I'm working on a a couple of Ramsey related projects at the moment that are going to be a little time consuming so my blog visits time may be limited. I am on the verge of a turning point professionally and need to concentrate on a few Ramsey related projects that will need my fullest attention. I may also have to curb my advice, ideas and help for a while too and it's time to follow up on some suggestions and offers I have had recently concerning my work. You may also notice the images have reverted back to a smaller size. This is simply to protect them from being used by others without my permission. I know this all sounds a little cloak and dagger but the blog is a work in progress, my words, my ideas, my images about Ramsey are to be used at my discretion, not for others to take the credit. Ramsey is my town, this is my blog.
On a lighter note tomorrow Tue. 7th Oct. will be my 200th post. Join me for an ideas session of things you'd like to know about Ramsey or links you'd like. There is so much more to show you but sometimes when you walk past something everyday you may not think to photograph it. The beach, the park, the shops, the pubs, the Manx signs, the churches, I could go on. So today, just comments on this image. Tomorrow your ideas and comments on the next 200 posts would be welcome and appreciated.
One for Ramsey residents, a message. Dig out those electric blankets for testing soon. It's free remember to have them tested but priceless for peace of mind.

I like this image - its perspective and the way you've got the focus off center. Good job! I better get mine up. :D
Great odd shot! I am still trying to figure out what is going on just outside the frame! Sounds like you have some wonderful things happening on your end. Congratulations on your 200th! It is a great day for it...it falls on my birthday!
Took a little while to work out just what I was looking at. I like it.
That is a fantastic shot! It could be for a fashion editorial or Dolce & Gabbana campain. Very good work!
LB,
You nailed it! It's statuesque. Dolce & Gabbana, yeah I get that. Do you work for magazines? If I buy an image can you sign it? How would that work for you?
lovely image!
LOve this image. It is one of my favorites. I appreciate your time. Good luck on this new venture. I would like to see more street portraits of your city. Is that easy to do or are people hesitant for you to do it?
Congratulations on your hop of career! I'M sure you'll do well...we'll be here behind you! Go go go!
Congratulations too on your 200th! I haven't been keeping track of mine but I will now...I like the image though even if the subject seems to be going out of the frame! ;-) Nice week to you!
Monochrome, hmmm! Nice shot
superbe, on dirait une sculpture en hommage au rugby.
superb, it looks like a sculpture in honor of rugby.
It has the style, quality and movement of certain very famous picture - do you know the one I mean.
I;m guessing this is a rugby game..it's my personal favourite of all thoe ones you've posted. I can see the indentations of the fingers on his legs..
hilarious post - love it!
great instantaneous shot !
One of my favourites too, even if my eye is not as sharp as yours!
Monochrome Monday? What a strange idea! Monday is so often monochrome by itself...I always try to put some colors on it!
You got it. Perfection!
I think the biggest failure of blogs are that they seldom show us how people live.
We are invited to see fences, barns, gates, shutters, porches, flowers, patios, and things like grocery shopping but never the inside of the domain where the people live. I don't know why unless people are either ashamed of their furniture or their homes inside or are not wanting to show their wealth. There must be some reason we never see the inside of the houses people live in.
So that would be one thing I would like to see on any blog.
I have also thought about going back to smaller photos for the same reason as I have had my entire blog lifted, stolen, and used without permission. Your post reminds me that I need to explore that again.
I like how you show off the small town. Not a lot to it. I couldn't manage 20 photos off hand. Nothing springs to mind, perhaps the football. The pubs would be ok too.
Carry on as you are is my advice. I follow your blog. I'm from Bride, but live in Laxey. I'm not one for comments normally, but you asked. I like what you do and how you do it. I hope it doesn't change or stop. It's put Ramsey on the map. Well done.
What a good glance!
This photo is very dynamic
Fantastic shot, and perfect moment for monochrome.
Thank you for visiting.
Totally cool shot!
Who is the person being lifted up to heaven ?
Hello You !
"High" photo...
And hilarious text !
See You later...
I like it a lot, Babooshka.(As French, we make part of the 6 Nations Championship, so no problem to identify your subject).
That's a great photo. The player is perfect, decentered, clear, with all his strength and movement ....
I love that shot. It's well done and has a humorous side to me. Good luck with your upcoming projects.
Does anyone recognise their hands? Awesome image!
Terrific shot! Love the framing and the subtle humor!
Best to you and your project!
Both the photo and the title made me smile.
Good luck with the next steps in your career, Babooshka! I wish you all the best.
This image has a great rhythm to it. Excellent composition, Babooshka! And it is a great choice for your combination of Monochrome Monday and Odd Shots!
I like it a lot! And I can see why it would be a favorite.

Two things, I am back because I want to thank you for you thoughtful comments today. When you talk, I listen!HA
Secondly, I wanted have a second look at today's photo. Nice thighs, wouldn't mind laying a hand on them myself! Did I just say that????
I love the image babooshka! Not just the image and the title but also the narrative as well! Very Very educational!
thanks so much for appreciating my posts and giving that praising comment. It touched me so much especially coming from you. It made my day especially getting hater comments on my Cavite Daily Photo on Multiply.com. it was my first hater critique and it hurted me a lot.
You guys are inspiring me to go on and those comments remind me that I am doing this wonderful blogging hobby for people like you who appreciate my works and not for those that hate it^^
God BLess you and Mabuhay^^
Steven^^
The more I look at this image the more I like it. I think it would look fantastic large sized framed. great idea about asking people what they'd like to see / know about Ramsey. I've done it on my site and it gets me looking at different places as well as getting me out and about.
That image is just perfect. You have caught it just right. Brilliant. Love it.
This image is perfect. I can see it being used as a rugby poster or billboard. I take it congratualtions are in order for your change of professional direction. Hope you still manage to keep this blog going.
I think a lot of people are waking up to the reality of daily postings, especially at this busy time of year. From now until after New Year's everyone will be pressed for time. Good luck with your projects.
I love it!
Also love your SWF post. Way behind on my visits.
LOL, the caption goes great with the photo!
Interesting about testing the electric blankets, never heard of that before!
Best of luck to you in your new endeavors :)
Very good shot, though I'm not sure which ball the hands are reaching for!!
Hope things work out with the other ventures :)
Photograff especail.
B,
Put Marley in "Time Out" for that remark!HA
My God! What a stunning photograph you posted today, Babooshka! It makes me jumped off my seat! The empty space proportion in this composition makes the subject and the memonet stand out and visually strike the viewer's senses.
Who are you? I want his photo. You work for the Independent?
I can't find this image on their website. Quality!
there is no ground to anchor perspective, which makes this a flight of fancy. Are they lifting him up or pulling him down - could go either way.
Love the pic and good luck on your project. Hope this come out as you hope it will.
Also, have you checked out www.tineye.com? It is an image search engine, sort of like google for pictures. It will find who is using your image, or even small part of your images on the web.
I think this is a stunning shot!!!!!
Really love the composition here. It works brilliantly. 200 photos...wow...Congratulations! I've had a look through your blog and it's very inspiring. Thanks.
I love sports shots, but this is the most unique I've ever seen. Perfect!
Hi!
Great Shot! Looks like a sporting event. Take Care!!
Sherrie
Nicley composed!
Ok I get it. Brad said "just look at this one" and I'm looking. I could curse it's that fine.
Fabulous photo. An action shot but so clear. (And you can't go wrong with a rugby player in my book!)
Congratulations on your 200th!
Lovely b/w shot! Love the composition.
I LIKE this- how amazing, and still quite fun.

Love it! It's beautifully composed.
Very good, very good - I like these "easy on the eye" photos ;)
This is why I'd like to call on you for support. Perfection.
Great shot -- looked very fashion catalog-ish.
Definitely my favorite as well! Congrats on reaching 200 + also.
I absolutely love it. Love, love, LOVE. Well-shot, good catch, wonderful eye, and all that. Fantastic! It looks perfect for a poster in a sports-lovers den...or in a magazine...or in a photography section of an art museum. Wow. I just really like it.
nice composition!
leaves you wondering what's going on outside the frame.
Congrats on your 200th post!
