Allo, Allo, Allo, what have we here then?

An arresting sight for the letter A

Evening all.

What have we here then Sonny Jim? The laughing Policeman perhaps? All rights reserved image? The Old Bill (nah, that's the one you get for the use of the image) or maybe it's just a bloke doing his job. Stop thief! The Police are back from walking on the moon and keeping the (not so mean) streets of the Isle of Man clean. Hey let's be careful out there and do it to them before they do it you. Allo, Allo, Allo is a lovely quaint term of endearment for the boys in blue, best said of course with a Cockney accent. No, no no, not Dick Van Dyke allllllwight Mare -wree Poppppinnns way, more your Pearly Queen me and my gal, doing the Lambeth Walk(Oi!) underneath the arches Flanders & Swan way. Clear as mud eh? It's just a copper doing his job. Believe me don't nick him all you'll be the one doing time.

As you can see humour has been restored to the blog. For more A's around the world clickety click this word here.

By the way did you notice our Policeman have white helmets. Aren't you jealous. We just have to be different don't we.

Does the restoration of humor indicate a resolution of problem I hope? Have the scurvy image pirate dogs of Virgin Media been clapped in irons and had their timbers shivered? Didja make 'em walk the plank? Dish girl, tell it all!

Mojo - I'll email you tomorrow but contact has been made through the comments box on the post below. Just love your turn of phrase.

Babs, delighted to read your news about your photo. Good to see you back with the banter.

Babooshka well done. Well done more so for doing it without Isle of Man Government or newspaper support. I would still contact them though just to rub it in on the story they missed. Shame on them. They will want a piece of it now won't they?

Is this photo in Laxey?

Babooshka said...

LL - it is indeed Laxey. Same copper from the LBS. Saving him for a suitable post like this. Cheers for all your support. I agree with you about certain missed opportunities re the newspapers, but their loss. Power to the people, Manx and the rest of the world on this one.

Now I really must get some sleep.

Now this sounds more like the Babooshka I follow. Sure hope you've solved the Virgin Media issue. Your voice has been heard.

Now, you point out, indeed, they wear white helmet. I think the other police or guard who also wear the white helmet are the one of Monaco.

From the comments I can see that the Virgin issue has been resolved. Can't find your comments though. Maybe I am blind. Glad it is sorted. Love to hear the results and how they justified or excused themsleves. White helemts eh. Does that mean they are the good guys.

I am sorry but I have had to wait until I stopped laughing before I could comment... the bit that cracked me up was the colour of the 'Bobbies Hat' and the smart alec reply that came to my head... of course I could not lower the tone of such an excellent blog.

The IOM as been featured on our local news station... Granada Reports.. it seems you are now in the North West... we get all your beautiful views and you get our resident madman weatherman Fred Talbot.. If you have not caught him yet try to do so..
