Oh look it's another reflection I'm reflecting on.Monochrome
Just an monochrome, nothing odd. Straightforward reflection of a bridge. Not the famous Ramsey Swing Bridge I hasten to add. No just, the little footbridge towards the entrance of the Park. That's the black lagoon again, I mean lake that I went for my unofficial swim in after tumbling out of a canoe. Looks so calm doesn't it? How deceptive is the camera to capture one second of pure, silken, flat water just before that gust of wind catches the ripples or that canoeist makes a splash.
The title I think says it all. I am in need of more challenging images, things that move, things that don't have reflections, things that aren't in Ramsey. Not very good that when this blog is called "Ramsey Daily Photo" is it? I can't be false about it. Honestly you can get bored of the place. Don't get me wrong the image is a beauty, but I can do this "mirror reflection" image in my sleep, in fact most of the images. So no critters this week, no odd shot. Posts as you can see will be as and when, no longer than two days but no guarantees they will be daily. Basically I am itching to photograph the Blues festival, the TT Road Races, Ramsey Rocks, events in other words. It's been a long wet dull winter blues now it's time for the promise of summer and hot shots in more ways than one.

I'm working strange hours too so posts also erratic due to this along with blog fatigue.

Isle of Man Daily Photo? I'm really impressed at what you've managed to get out of Ramsey, but I can see that you would want a wider canvas. That's why I decided not to do another Edinburgh daily photo when I started this, and unlike you I don't have the technical knowledge to wring every last drop out of one city.
B. I don't care if you post garbage on the streets or sunsets it's always a fun read and brilliant photography.

I can completely relate to this post. My yard is pretty much maxed out, until the tulips and then the summer flowers. I want to go on a long trip!

I understand what you're feeling about blog boredom. Sometimes I don't think I can post another picture because I don't have anything new and then something comes along and I get the "itch" again. Your shot is lovely but I agree that it's what you write that is special.
Even when you're bored, you so doggone creative! I'm in awe every time I come here, not only for the photos, but for yur ability to express yourself so astutely.
Pretty still day in Ramsey when this photo was taken. All is calm. Still enjoying that Skywatch Friday silhouette. Fabulous retreat for our hobbit and fairy buddies!

A simple reflection of a bridge that I like. The light is always interesting. I hear ya on the blogging . . . I plateau with my blog too. . . but it passes. I find that sometimes it takes everything I've got to post something that I think might be worthwhile to look at and by the time I post, there is little or no time left to comment on others. I really appreciate all the commenting you've done on my blog ;-). Hang in there.

Well B, at least you dont't have to rely on a dwindling archive of prints decades old. Not that I need worry any longer - I am using film again and building a new 'portfolio' - don't it sound posh.
Practise starts in a couple of weeks and you can cover the preps. Capture the determination in the backlane garages... why not get a paddock pass.
Funny...I too am looking for other horizons..need to drive beyond the boudaries and see what we may see! The photo will capture YOU!

Lovely and mystical shot, I am not sure whether my post falls into the Monochrome catergory though, its kind of both black and white but with a hint of red.
You might be bored but we never get bored at looking at your pictures. Same place everyday is just fine thanks. It always looks a little different.

Loved your wandering thoughts which seem to match the wandering reflected patterns of the bridge rails in the water. Yet it's these very wanderings that keep the interest all together and alive and unique! (Hope that makes sense! I've just been seeing heaps of parents on a parent-teacher night and my brain cells are a bit ga ga!)

Awright! A blues festival! Not that I see a single thing wrong with this image -- or any of yours for that matter -- but I know the feeling you're talking about. I'm tired of flowers, tired of trees, tired of oddball macros of ordinary things. Not thta I hate how these come out mind you, but I know exactly where you're coming from.
Maybe I need a beach trip. Yeah! That's it! A beach trip!
You may be bored of these shots but they're quite beautiful. Still, I know the feel of wanting something new to shoot.
