Black crow is not hard to handle - critters

What is it with me and birds?

Critters

Jealous again are you about the strange image. No you are not seeing things. That is a crow eating a tissue. Not sure that is the best remedy. No, not one iota of manipulation apart from the desaturation to monochrome in Raw. No photoshopped tissues into the already taken image. That's just how it is with me and the birds. Sister luck when it comes to critters and how cooperative they can be. They sit on my hand, they behave oddly around me. Seem to even dare I say it pose for me.Maybe it's Manx magic, little bit of Ginnie Witchcraft. I dunno, but whatever it is but I never find black crows hard to handle. Or should that be Black Crowes?

Yes, yes I'm sort of back. Well posting, rather than visiting. Not really into shooting around Ramsey at the moment, or blogging in general so an archive for you from a batch I shot of this beautiful bird, a carrion crow to be precise, over the local park. Sure the other images to compare will pop up on the links. For other critters around the globe click here. Honestly I don't make these birds do these things, they just do.

Great shot, Babooshka. Maybe he needed some extra fiber? My cat eats toilet paper sometimes, and I've always wondered why.

Babooska: What is this, a black on black shot, cool.

There must be something tasty on it - although what exactly I don't like to think.

It is a good example of why littering is bad - wild animals will often assume it is food.

Witches do have certain charms that Crows buy into. ;-)

I love the image, having a thing for crows myself. They always make such interesting characters in stories and pictures, don't you think?

Nice shot of the Crow. I would know why they would eat tissue, maybe what Kitty said, there is something on the tissue that is good? Thanks for sharing your crow critter.

I've seen crows picking at/carrying all sorts of stuff. They are notorious here for rooting through trash cans and spilling the contents all over the place. But your photo is good!

Babooshka! I miss it in here! Your blog, your rants and of course your stunning photos as this latest one! I hope you can still remember me! It was 7 months since I left Cavite Daily Photo to focus on our Thesis and I am so happy we passed! It was really hard! out of 84 groups, so far only 5 Systems were accepted by the Panelists.

I really really missed Ramsey and most of all, Ramsey as it is to babooshka! God Bless and More power to your Blog!

Steven^^

I've always rather admired crows. They're smart, omnivorous, and just social enough.

Besides which they always make striking photos.

My pup loves to steal my used tissues too. Some unexplained critter-tissue magnetism I guess.
