THEME DAY - FEET

Crow's feet, a gripping image

Theme Day - Feet

I had toyed with the obvious lateral choice of crows feet around the human eye but decided no. To publish an image of someone, a stranger, and refer to their laughter lines (as some know them) crows feet may have proved a little indelicate. Also a little too obvious that I would go for the lateral choice, so turn the idea on it's head and for once post a literal sensible straight forward image. I checked with the crow who didn't think it it was at all indelicate I photographed his
talons. Even put his best manicured crow foot forward. As a bonus you get all the glossy feather detail too and the grain of the wood. Now this was better than posting my toenail that fell off when I broke my toe a couple of years ago wasn't it? Well perhaps not it was beautiful shade of purple.

Excellent detail and, as you say, the detail of the feathers and wood is an added bonus! Good call for theme day, though part of me wants to see the purple nail!

I can't wait for the Biker's feet. What lens did you use? I need help with my speed setting for the TT B.

Also crow's feet, but quite literally a different interpretation to that of Julie from Sydney. Such a great contrast.

Babs I'll pass on the purple toenail for this. The feathers are so sharp and silky.

A gripping, grabbing, grappling image. Well done and inspired. Happy theme day.

Hehe, how clever. Alfred Hitchcokk anyone?

Very clever interpretation for Theme Day. I knew you wouldn't disappoint.

You describe your photo well. I first noticed the glossy feathers but then returned again to check out the talons. They look wicked. I could have photographed my parrot's "feet" but I don't think she would have cooperated.

Thank you for not sharing the purple toe. LOL! Yet I rather like the crows feet, both the capture and the ones by my eyes.

Gorgeous crows feet. I don't think that sentence has ever been uttered before. Still, it is a gorgeous photo. And I am happy it is crows feet as the human foot, for some reason, creeps me out. No foot fetish here. By the way, how did you get a close up of a crow? Crows up here are shy, timid, and nervous around people.

Marvelous and magical. You've really outdone yourself for theme day, m'lady. I love this!

Love your choice, Babooshka and the take on crow's feet. You got a great close up there.

That is a GREAT photo of the crow. It almost looks like abstract art. I love the crow's feathers and color and the background, too.

Thanks for sparing us the human crow's feet! I must check the portal to see if anyone has done such a photo! I like your crow's tootsies.

Love your bird. How you manage to get so close to a crow beats me. They always take of whenever I get anywhere near them.

Gripping, indeed! Looks like a rather harried crow - were you taking too many pictures ? ;)

Happy theme day!

You picked the right crow's feet.

Wonderful idea for the theme day. I had foot surgery a few years ago - perhaps I should have posted my before and after pics. Ah well!!

You make me laugh... so I guess I have some crows walking on my face thanks to you.

I'm just glad he's not gripping you. Those talons look like they can hurt a lot!

Ben - he was definitely sober compared to your bird who couldn't walk in straight line.

Thanks all for once again taking timing out to not only view, read my meandering but comment.

A very gripping entry for Theme Day!

There's nothing funnier than watching a bird miss a landing. With feet like that you would think that would never happen!
