MOONSTRUCK BLUES - SYKWATCH

You want the moon? I'll get you the moon

No not a Blue Moon, but a Blues Moon. In fact It's so well behaved it sits slap bang on those electrical wires nestling in a true blue sky. I know I'm showing you a first here, a cloudless bluest of blue sky. Not a speck of grey, no drizzle, fog, mist. Not even so much as more than a gentle breeze. Very obliging lone bird flew into shot at the right moment too. What can I say! It's always a wonderful life at the festival. Of course the day after it was pis..... I mean persisting down with ocean rain, winds worse than Wuthering Heights and the moon had skedaddled back to undercover of the night. You wanted the moon , I got you the moon, the whole of the moon not dancing but certainly moonstruck.

It's over 'til next year. Do you remember the photos of the musicians and my words being" I haven't a clue who who the guy is" and "anyone want to fill in the Blanks feel free? Well knock me down with a feather! Out of the Blue(s) the saxophonist has left a comment to tell me it was him. So now I know who he and the guitarist are. That would be the deliciously titled "Manx Jazz Kats" and I will be telling you more about them tomorrow. Of course that's if you're good I'll even show you the faces that go with the hands I posted this week. Lots of images all in one post. Spoiling you. Babooshka will be presenting "Manx Jazz Kats" and I know you'll all be thrilled to see them and tell them so, especially you Virginia, Birmingham DP. People, V. I got me some real live people. Poor Manx Jazz Kats. Not sure they are prepared for the worldwide audience on this blog. To sneak a peek click colour below. Makes a change from not being able to photograph the Police with UK Photographic laws. If you are in the UK you need to read that post. See third link.Italic

The moon has lost a string on his guitar...

Nice fit-in!

We need a few more stars for the score to be complete :-)

Fun photo of the sky, like the angles and lines framing up the moon. Thanks for sharing with us all in sky watch friday.

And now, ladies and gentlemen,
the Bloo Moon Groop!

Beautiful capture,
proof that the moon's not yet joined the wireless craze. ;-)

Moon on a G.string too punchy perhaps? I am new to your blog but have enjoyed your musical images and your harder hitting posts. One for the bookmarks. I wrongly presumed Russian, but I see the WH reference. A Kate fan too.

Moonstruck Blues! The perfect caption for your photo! Very great shot, but not everybody will see this like you do. I mean: you need to have an eye for it, probably two eyes. I enjoy reading your posts always, for they are witty, informative and British. When two Dutch people meet for the first time they start also talking about the weather;"Nice weather, isn't it?" "Yea, lovely, but yesterday it was cold... Well it's that time of the year.."" Yea you can't complain, actually"
Have a great SWF!

Babooshka: I'd have to say you captured an electric blue today for the Moon to sit in.

It's always nice to see the moon in daylight. You've framed it nice with the wires.

How wonderful that the owner of the hands checked out your blog!

Love the five wires and how the moon appears to be a note. This is a GREAT shot!

Nothing helps a photographer more than a well-behaved moon! Fabulous photo, and I love the blues festival photos, the colors are special as is your text. That's splendid that the saxophonist commented!

Gattina said...

These wires hanging in the air are really a noisance ! What a perfect blue sky !

Tarolino said...

You put the moon behind bars for safekeeping! Very funny. Think he'll stay there and grow or just break out and continue his rounds?

Ces said...

Ah look at that moon. It is barely visible! I like the way you presented this image. It focuses on the electric post and then ther's the moon!

Looks like the moon is playing the guitar strings of the power lines... the blues, of course! Nice shot.

Greyscale Territory said...

Clever way of connecting the moon and the "strings" and the blues! An entertaining post!

Great work! I will be waiting for more information about the musicians!

I'm thinking it's more like a moon as the key of C.

Just had to check in today and see if you'd been arrested -:) Watch out for Bobbie!

I did not believe that the British Isles allowed that color blue in the skies! A very proper sky for your music this week.

kRiZ cPEc said...

interesting! the guitarist actually left a comment to tell you his was him. :)

chrome3d said...

Your moon plays a happy bass solo on those 4 strings. I´m deep in to music metaphors this week.:-)
