Last night's evening sundown, Ramsey along the quay. Thats what you can see in between the lamposts, sail masts. The weather has improved, it must know we're weeks from the TT Road Races. This year the good news is there will be no 5.am pratise laps. When you live as near to the course as I do, the last thing you need is the not so dulcet sounds of hundreds of motorbikes whizzing past at ferocious speeds that early.
I sympathise with anyone submitting tax declerations this month, so do we here. The Isle of Man, isn't part of the UK, or the Britsh Isles it's a Crown Dependancy. Unlike the UK ,where only self employed people sumbit tax declerations, here, we are responsible for submitting our own. That's explains why the island is full of accountants.

ReplyDeleteI guess Kate Bush would love this landscape for one of her amazing videos.
I agree Qunitatantino, but i can't keep calling them all cloudbusting or the big sky.

nice shot! love the color.... I hope you can visit my first entry.
ReplyDeleteamazing colors.
ReplyDeleteand thanks for visiting my blog!
Love this photo!!
ReplyDeletegreat sky - whilst it would indeed be nice to see it without the lampposts it would be very difficult to remove them without spoiling the picture.
ReplyDeleteI thought the IOM was part of the "British Isles"
The UK of course is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland - Great Britain being England, Scotland & Wales.
The British Isles though is surely a geographical rather than political area and consists of the UK, Republic of Ireland, IOM and the Channel Islands.
That has always been my understanding - I'm always miffed-off by Americans (in particular) who refer to England when they mean the UK. Despite my surname I always list my nationality as "British".
What a great shot. I love the raspberry-colored sky. Nature is full of wonder, and you sure have shared it here! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLove the color.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture.. just perfect for Sky Watch..
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the smell of GTX oil in morning.... now that would be a great line in a movie.. ha!
From your very 'English' friend... LOL

ReplyDeleteGreat shot!!!
ReplyDeleteYour bottle brush photo made me very nostalgic - I had a number in my garden in Australia - they really do grow like weeds at home. I guess your more temperate weather allows them to grow there!!!
Gorgeous photo with great contrasts. Like the masts in the foreground. All the best.
ReplyDeleteWhat a dramatic sky! Don't believe I have ever seen one quite like it.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThat is just absolutely stunning! We spent our honeymoon on the Isle of Man and we still have many happy memories of the island.I can still remember going on a coach trip and crossing a bridge where the driver stopped and refused to go on till we had all said good morning to the fairies.I wonder if that still happens? I hope it does.
wow ... beautiful catch! so much drama, love it! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely shot once again - considering that a video for either Cloudbustnig or the Big Sky would take about 5 minutes each, all wonderful shots of the sky could link together in little bits to create a wonderful video!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I love it when the sky is like this. Unfortunately it rains so much here that it's very rare we have a sky like this!
