The foreground usually makes the picture - even if you have to hang out the window! It seems to have been worth it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting about the language - I did,'t know it was that Gaelic. I thought the old Norse presence would have left a clearer impression. Oh, well...

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Nashville!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know I stopped by and have been enjoying your photos!
Please excuse that I'm cutting and pasting this comment, but since my right arm (my writing arm!) is still in a sling, typing is pretty difficult, so I really haven't been able to make comments.
Have a great weekend!
Chris
This is a glorious photo, awesome color!
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize for such a lovely sky! Amazing color...
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to apologize. This photo is fantastic! The sky is on fire.
ReplyDelete"Stunning" seems to be the right word, and I see that it has been used already. So if you can apologize for using another sunset, I will apologize for being redundant to describe it.
ReplyDeleteI started to look at the language thing, then chickened out. But if you insert a one-word lesson here and there, we might have something.
Babooshka, Glad you came by today. That really is a firey sunset. Come back soon.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photo. I am really glad I found your blog via Paris Daily Photo. There are some great photo of beautiful Isle of Man (I still have to create a blog roll on mine ! and will need to put your URL!) Loic

Beautiful picture, and I love your user name. Whenever I see it I hear that song and see Kate Bush in a...what was she wearing in that video, a gladiator-inspired bikini? :)
ReplyDeleteWow, absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFantastic sky....sigh...
ReplyDeleteA golden sky, almost burning! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, breathtaking photo!
ReplyDeleteLove this photo:)
ReplyDeletePetunia's ABC
Awesome photo of the sky. The color is mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteWe can never get too many sunsets, especially when captured as well as you do!
ReplyDeleteQuite a golden sunset. A lack of skyscrapers is not a bad thing. And leaning out a window is no worse than snapping a photo out of a car window while traveling 60 mpg in traffic - not that I'd ever do that of course, no... :)
ReplyDeleteWow - what a stunning picture of the sky
ReplyDeleteThat is stunning. One of the advantages of small island living I guess - you don't see many of those here in the city (especially through the rainclouds, lol!).
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, it looks like fire…
ReplyDeleteRe-visiting and found the link about the Manx language. I was just about to ask you to post a clip for us to hear, but see that you had already given us the opportunity. Beautiful language to hear, but must be very hard to learn to speak! Thanks again for the education!
