Theme Day - Feet
I had toyed with the obvious lateral choice of crows feet around the human eye but decided no. To publish an image of someone, a stranger, and refer to their laughter lines (as some know them) crows feet may have proved a little indelicate. Also a little too obvious that I would go for the lateral choice, so turn the idea on it's head and for once post a literal sensible straight forward image. I checked with the crow who didn't think it it was at all indelicate I photographed his
Great shot Babooshka! Wot no Twitter? Come on...
ReplyDeleteExcellent detail and, as you say, the detail of the feathers and wood is an added bonus! Good call for theme day, though part of me wants to see the purple nail!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Biker's feet. What lens did you use? I need help with my speed setting for the TT B.
ReplyDeleteAlso crow's feet, but quite literally a different interpretation to that of Julie from Sydney. Such a great contrast.
ReplyDeleteBabs I'll pass on the purple toenail for this. The feathers are so sharp and silky.
ReplyDeleteA gripping, grabbing, grappling image. Well done and inspired. Happy theme day.
ReplyDeleteHehe, how clever. Alfred Hitchcokk anyone?
ReplyDeleteVery clever interpretation for Theme Day. I knew you wouldn't disappoint.
ReplyDeleteYou describe your photo well. I first noticed the glossy feathers but then returned again to check out the talons. They look wicked. I could have photographed my parrot's "feet" but I don't think she would have cooperated.
ReplyDeleteThank you for not sharing the purple toe. LOL! Yet I rather like the crows feet, both the capture and the ones by my eyes.
ReplyDeleteBird feet! Crow feet! Meet Isle of Man feet! Black feet - claw feet! Not on a street feet! Boiled in water feet, a real treat?! Unique feet! Regards from Minnesota, USA
ReplyDeleteNice shot
ReplyDeleteSuch an original shot like always:)
ReplyDeleteHappy theme day. Please check out my blog.
Gorgeous crows feet. I don't think that sentence has ever been uttered before. Still, it is a gorgeous photo. And I am happy it is crows feet as the human foot, for some reason, creeps me out. No foot fetish here. By the way, how did you get a close up of a crow? Crows up here are shy, timid, and nervous around people.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous and magical. You've really outdone yourself for theme day, m'lady. I love this!
ReplyDeleteLove your choice, Babooshka and the take on crow's feet. You got a great close up there.
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT photo of the crow. It almost looks like abstract art. I love the crow's feathers and color and the background, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat subject and great shot---and get a grip--LOL!! MB
ReplyDeleteThanks for sparing us the human crow's feet! I must check the portal to see if anyone has done such a photo! I like your crow's tootsies.
ReplyDeletegripping indeed!
ReplyDeleteClever!
ReplyDeleteLove your bird. How you manage to get so close to a crow beats me. They always take of whenever I get anywhere near them.
ReplyDeleteGripping, indeed! Looks like a rather harried crow - were you taking too many pictures ? ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy theme day!
I like your crows feet.
ReplyDeleteI guess this one is not (yet!?) drank. Love your comment on mine.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, quoth the Raven.
ReplyDeleteHow did you get him to pose for this?
ReplyDeleteI like this photo. Neat.
ReplyDeleteThe idea you had was really clever, I wouldn't have even thought of that! Great shot you got.
ReplyDeleteYou picked the right crow's feet.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea for the theme day. I had foot surgery a few years ago - perhaps I should have posted my before and after pics. Ah well!!
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh... so I guess I have some crows walking on my face thanks to you.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad he's not gripping you. Those talons look like they can hurt a lot!
ReplyDeleteLove this choice -- cute feet!
ReplyDelete***groan**** :) Bodacious birdie butt! Stunning work Babs!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on Theme Day!!! I can always count on you to put a smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteCrow's feet! I love it. Wonderful photo and creativity on the theme.
ReplyDeleteMuch cleverer than actual crow's feet photo and prettier too.
ReplyDeleteSee you at the TT, maybe?
a good shot for this theme day
ReplyDeleteIMA
ReplyDeleteI just love this image.Awesome.
ReplyDeleteBabooshka: The feet - really neat.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot and very creative!
ReplyDeleteBen - he was definitely sober compared to your bird who couldn't walk in straight line.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for once again taking timing out to not only view, read my meandering but comment.
A very gripping entry for Theme Day!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing funnier than watching a bird miss a landing. With feet like that you would think that would never happen!
ReplyDeleteReally good shot :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stop by my blog, I just joined CDP not long ago.
All Little Things I Like
I was hoping to see some great bird or animal feet and you delivered. a very unique capture.
ReplyDeleteAhhh - a play on a play on words - fantabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see a crow here (and we have quite a few), I remember how much you said you like them.
glad yu spared us the toenail - i had that happen long time ago - great shot of the crow.
ReplyDeleteClever! Great shot of course, nice story, was chuckling away, until the horrible toenail was mentioned. Yuck!
ReplyDeletethose feet, when they grabs, it's painful!
ReplyDeletehappy theme day!
Great choice for this theme, a beautiful and strange bird.
ReplyDeleteFantastic feet! And I love the shimmer in the featherage. (Guess that's not a word... Firefox doesn't think so anyway.) Marvelous!
