Red White and the Blues
As I am still sifting through the Laxey Blues Festival images.I mean no time to go hunt the skies tonight for sunsets and crepuscular clouds(Dewdrop, go see for awesome storm chasing images, will know what I'm talking about) We got clouds, we got blue skies, we got a flash of red to spice up the colour and even got a pebble sand beach. That'll do for you won't it tonight? Just be grateful in wasn't another Swinging bridge image. I mean we only had that yesterday and even I would suggest another one today would be a tad like overkill.

Laxey (Salmon island?) - I enjoyed th way you had kept the details in the foreground and led the eye into the picture. No to mention the light to the right.
ReplyDeleteRuneE -Yep it's one of those Viking words again, Salmon River we say here.
ReplyDeleteAnother great composed shot.
ReplyDeleteWell, I like Ramsey but confess I think Laxey is quite nice too!
ReplyDeleteImaginative and clever - beautiful, too!
ReplyDeleteLaxey is salmon? Like lox! Cool, I've learned something.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dramatic clouds. How was the festival? We also spent the weekend at the festival - I got a few shots, but was too busy listening to do much serious shooting.
No matter where it is, it's a beautiful subject for skywatching.
ReplyDeleteLaxey is pretty as Ramsey, if not prettier. More Facebook images. Can't wait for more rock and blues.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sending a quiet sky and water. Nice view :) Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition - and a great sky!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Very good composition and what a lovely place to be.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the beach and do like the bridge photo with the bird as well. Thanks for sharing your wonderful views with us all.
ReplyDeleteCountry Living couldn't have done better with its colourways for a marine theme!
ReplyDeleteBabs it's so nice to see Laxey so pretty.
ReplyDeleteWell it's still a great sky shot! And a splash of red in there too. :)
ReplyDeleteRed, white and blue. What more could we want!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for the link... you almost worked it into casual conversation. I really appreciate you!
ReplyDeleteWeather has phenomenal power anywhere... and like you said, can destroy in no time at all.
PS. Great clouds in your shot!
ReplyDeleteLovely light and colours!
ReplyDeleteI stand on this beach most days and let the dogs out for a run. I never knew how fantastic it looks.
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot, as always, Babooshka! Love the light and the colors! I'd also like be there and here some of music. And give Jack Daniels a greeting from me! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteRed,white and blue - great idea.
ReplyDeleteNever mind the pebbles, I see myself chill out on that beach with some shandy or cider & black (yes I keep up with the Polish stereotype and did my time serving in UK bars)
ReplyDeleteNice and nautical! And is that some brave soul in the water, or just a rock?
ReplyDeleteBeen a while LB. Still at the your of your game.
ReplyDeleteThank you for ALL the Laxey images. Each one is so special for me but the beach best place of all.
ReplyDeleteSorry but just one more request? Can you name the musicians in the captions.
ReplyDeleteI'm emailing you a link about the TT.
ReplyDeleteOne of your photos is being used with no name check to you but your copyright is visable on the photo.
I view I just don't comment.

Something so beautiful about clouds rolling in over the beach.
ReplyDeleteComposition has great visual interest, as does the color scheme for the Yanks out here!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot. It's funny because the first think I saw was the red and white on the right (hmmm a rhyme) and then kind of expanded out to the whole glorious shot. So nice.
ReplyDeleteNice low clouds formation.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition that include the red-white pole.
this is a gorgeous composition. the clouds at the top of the frame look just overhead, close enough to touch..
ReplyDeletelovely!

ReplyDeletemagnifique ciel du vendredi.
ReplyDeleteStill a fine sky to watch (and great photo), even though it's a few kilometers out!

ReplyDeleteStunning beach sky! Lots of natural drama!
ReplyDeleteLove the shot..
ReplyDeleteI like that little touch of red amongst the grey and the looming clouds :-)
Lots of fluffy clouds or are they rain clouds. Picturesque
ReplyDeleteI love the blue color of the water compared to the blue color of the sky.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful.
It's a beautiful sky whereever it's from!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!!
Nice shot, missed you on My World this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I've been taking photos like this, this afternoon on the Isle of Wight. Beach, blue and grey skies. Very moody. I thought of you a couple of nights ago when Martin Clunes was in Douglas and other parts of Isle of Man for his Islands series. Did you see? Have never been, although am originally from the north (other side of Pennines though). It looks like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteJanice.
That's a great sky!
ReplyDeleteWow. The light in the clouds is so beautiful, especially over the stony grey on the beach. Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic skies!
ReplyDeleteGreat landscape here, too, and what a beach ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy swf, weekend, next week, ;))
Hugs, Maria
I like this one..nobody around. I could see me picking up a pebble and relaxing! Nice-
ReplyDeleteAloha
The beach looks so quiet and lonely. Is it cold there right now or is this spot always so empty. It's certainly a "mood" shot.
ReplyDeleteHi Babb's, you have another pretty sky picture again. I think we saw the LAXEY BEACH when we went for our hour lunch walk waiting for the train to go back.
ReplyDeleteI have a French sky today, there isn't a cloud in sight for this one. Other pics do have French clouds.
Happy SkyWatching, :-)
..
I like the Laxey sky very much, thank you.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful scene and awesome clouds!
ReplyDeleteFantastic cluds over the beach!
