CRITTERS SUNDAY - THE SEAGULL HAS LANDED!

I know it's a really bad pun but I couldn't resist it.

Ramsey Harbour, Birds File 5

Having a sort out of the photos and came across this one hiding amongst Birds file 5. As it's been a pretty bad week for birds and animals around Ramsey, and atrocious weather, I went for a reliable image. I like these kind of shots. Best left as they were taken. As you can see it was grey light day but his dramatic entrance really livened things up . To the person who commented "do I always have a camera with me," in the main yes, and this kind of shot is why. You can't plan these they just happen and are best left as taken.

I'm still looking for the escaped wallaby from the wildlife park, but no luck. It could be a myth of course but apparently there have been some reliable sighting. No seriously, there is an escaped wallaby roaming the hills outside Ramsey. Possibly with the Loch Ness Monster, a flying pig and a pink elephant entering the local pub. Sounds like a bad joke!

  1. Wonderful action photo... it looks like you timed the shot just perfectly!

While you may have an escaped wallaby roaming your hills we have a fugitive potty trained chimpanzee running loose in our mountains. Seriously! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't show up at my front door someday. Lol!

  12. Hi Babooshka! Finally I found some time to enjoy your excellent blog…
Great shot here! Also loved the Swing Bridge series... And the purple house (much darker than the one I caught in Ann Arbor) is amazing!
Many thanks for your comments on Blogtrotter, still at the MoMA! Hope you enjoy and wish you a great weekend and a nice holiday, in case you have the chance to profit from it! ;))

  13. Noooo, it's not as bad as some of the things that I've played around with for my blogs. Now I try not to be clever and instead use puns/play onwords every now and then and be sensible the rest of the time!

The seagull is quite cute here actually. Good job it wasn't a pigeon. I hate pigeons... grrrrr...
    Ciao

I really need to get in the habit of keeping my camera with me. I saw a great sunset while driving home tonight. But it wasn't much good to me as my camera is on the bookshelf!
